Hello 2019! - A Journey to Self Love
February 5,
A Journey to Self Love.
It’s like a walk in an endless deep dark jungle to love yourself.
How many of you guys laughed and mumbled silently “Feel u.”?
I AM NOT AN EXPERT in this field of positivity, zen, peace and loving yourself. But I am expert enough in knowing progress is better than nothing.
It's all about Baby steps.. baby steps.
Or to make it clear enough, being 0,5 inch closer to your vision and mission is better than nothing at all.
You can disagree if you want to! I’m always open for opinions.
And by the way, this blog is still private and if you are reading this by now then yay! I finally had demolished the high pile of insecurities of wall, down. Credits to the book “Happiness Project” by Gretchen Rubin and “The art of creative thinking” by Rod Juny.
Okay, back to the art of self-love. People may have different explanations, perceptions, theories and definition of self-love.
Today I was surprised by a compliment from a good friend of mine whom I rarely meet. She mentioned something about me being organized. I was shocked yet happy at the same time. Because she doesn't know how much of a mess I was back then, I can say both physically and mentally. The person I am today and back then could be categorized as 2 different individuals.
To be really honest, back when I was messy with maintaining different kinds of stuff and time, I tend to forget things, you know like dory the fish in Finding Nemo? “Short term memory loss” and clumsy too, what a perfect train wreck!
So, It was part of my self-love revolution, “To be more organized, yet adaptable”. I can't definitely say I've made a big progress in this change of lifestyle and habit but these achievements have impacted my life profoundly and as mentioned earlier has created the person I never thought I'd see in me.
A little tip: "Treats"
A little tip: "Treats"
What treats?
"Treats" means that every time I tackle a large number of to-do lists or take steps in this journey of Self-Love I buy myself something nice, needless, I took another step today. So.... I’m going to buy myself a table-cloth for my desk. YAY!
Maybe now it's your turn?
Maybe now it's your turn?
Highlights:
Enjoy the process and progress.
Treat yourself when you know you deserve it.
Love,
S.
